The Association of Construction Inspectors (ACI) is the leading professional organization for those involved in:

  • Construction Inspection
  • Construction Project Management
  • Construction Consulting

ACI is the leading association for providing standards, guidelines, regulations, education, training and recognition in a field that has quickly become an important procedure for both residential and commercial construction. Construction Lenders, Developers, Architects and others have come to rely of ACI members to provide accurate and professional information on their construction projects.

Members of ACI provide a vital service to the construction industry providing both Construction Inspections (verifying percentage of completion for the purpose of draw requests), Construction Project Management (providing full construction monitoring: paying of the contractor and sub-contractor, verifying each stage of construction and reporting to the client), and Construction Consulting.

What is a Construction Inspector?

When a loan is approved for a construction project, typically the funds are allocated and the contractor is paid in segments of "draws" according to a construction schedule. Before each draw can be released, a Construction Inspector must verify that the percentage of construction completed agrees with the draw schedule.

What is a Construction Project Manager?

Taking the Inspection duties one step further is the actual management of the construction project. The responsibilities are to ensure that the project is completed: approve and make draw payments (contractor and subcontractors), verify that construction meets architectural plans, monitor and ensure completed construction is on schedule and report to the client (lender, developer or similar party).

What is a Construction Consultant?

With many financial institutions, corporations, & Government Agencies now realizing the need for a Construction Consultant, the Certified Construction Consultant designation recognizes those construction professionals with broad areas of construction expertise.
